Yes, a trans woman named Aditi Sharma has started her food van ‘Nivala Pyar Ka’ at Kargi Chowk. Aditi is the first trans woman from Uttarakhand who has adopted self-employment by taking advantage of the government scheme. Aditi Sharma has started her food truck by taking a loan from Uttarakhand Khadi Village Industries Board under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme.
Talking to Local 18, Aditi Sharma, owner of Niwala Pyar Ka Food Truck, says that she too is a transgender like all transgenders. But she did not adopt the path of begging, she always wanted to live like normal people and she made many such efforts. So that he could live a life like the common people, he first started helping people in the field of social service and then looked for ways of self-employment for himself.
It is a compulsion to ask for congratulations
Aditi Sharma says that asking for congratulations has become a culture for trans people. But it is not necessary that a transgender should ask for congratulations. Sometimes asking for congratulations becomes a compulsion for trans people. Because the people of this community do not get the benefit of any government facility. Therefore, to earn their living, trans people are forced to ask for congratulations. But he has tried to change this culture and after many efforts started self-employment.
